Social Enterprise Support
The North East BIC offers the perfect environment for you to start and grow a business.
Delivered by NE BIC
The North East BIC offers the perfect environment for you to start and grow a business.
Established in 1994 to encourage and support entrepreneurship, we have created a unique community that fosters business success and inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Our unique package of workspace, business support, events, and a community spirit that champions business success has been at the heart of our ethos from day one and continues to be the golden thread that weaves our services together.
And it doesn’t stop there. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we continually reinvest the money we make into launching new services and facilities to ensure the region’s businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs have the tools they need to succeed.
That’s why people like you rely on us for expert guidance, support and advice. And because North East BIC is one of the region’s longest-established social enterprises, we’ve most likely seen whatever the world is throwing, or about to throw, at you.
So, social enterprise, cooperative, not-for-profit – wherever you fit, or hope to fit, in the world, we’re here to help you.
This means you can get on with what you do best – being in business for good.
About the programme
NE-BIC will work collaboratively with business clients with the objective of improving productivity.
This will be done through a blended delivery of both 1-2-1 support and workshop group delivery, including:
Baseline Measurement: Whatever task is to be explored, a baseline measurement will be taken. This measurement will be set with the client as a starting point in the project. The distance travelled will be measured at the end of the project, and an exploration of the impact will be conducted.
Programme Preparation: Business advisors will take this opportunity to give the client more information about the project and introduce them to any preparatory work needed to feed into the next one-to-one or make the most of the workshop.
Productivity Masterclass: This three-hour workshop will further explore productivity in the context of social enterprise, explore its benefits, and introduce tools and tips to address productivity issues. Each workshop will explore a particular productivity theme (e.g., how to optimise job roles, set up central processes, and develop quality management frameworks).
Productivity Mentoring: Each social enterprise will be offered mentoring to support them achieve their goals.
Improvement measurement: Improvement measurements will be assessed to complete the client journey.
